Dates have now been confirmed for this year’s spectacular World Fireworks Championship Blackpool, one of the resort’s most iconic autumn events.
Three countries will compete across three nights: Saturday 12 September, Saturday 26 September and Saturday 10 October
Each breathtaking display - synchronised to music and launched from the beach in front of The Blackpool Tower - is completely free to attend, offering visitors and residents the chance to enjoy world‑class pyrotechnics in an iconic location.
The competing countries for 2026 will be revealed in the coming months.
Cllr Lynn Williams MBE, Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “World Fireworks Championship Blackpool is a standout highlight of our autumn programme.
“We look forward to welcoming thousands of people to the Promenade to enjoy these spectacular free family events.
“They continue to be hugely popular with both residents and visitors, and we can’t wait to bring this magnificent showcase back to the seafront later this year.”
A Blackpool Tourism Limited spokesperson said: “The championship forms a key part of Blackpool’s major events calendar, which also includes the Blackpool Air Show on 8–9 August, Ride The Lights on 1 September, the Illuminations Switch‑On celebration on 4 September, and Lightpool Festival from 21–31 October.”
