Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a man died following a collision in Coppull this morning.
They were called around 5.30am today (30th April) to Preston Road, Coppull, to a report of a collision.
The emergency services attended and found that a Tesla car had been in collision with a pedestrian in the carriageway.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
The road remains closed while investigation work is carried out.
