Lancashire Police have charged a man after a stabbing in Preston.
Last Friday morning (17th May) officers were called to West Cliff, Preston, to a report of an assault.
A man in his 40s was found to have suffered injuries to his chest and arm.
They arrested a 31-year-old man at the scene.
Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Jack Sanderson, 31, of Charlesway Court, Lea Road, Preston, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of a Class A controlled drug – cocaine.
He has been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court tomorrow (20th May).
