Police have charged a man with murder following the death of Gary Carlisle in Preston.
Officers were called at about 6.15am on 12th March following a report of an assault on Ribbleton Hall Drive, close to Moor Nook School. When they arrived, they found 62-year-old Gary with some very serious injuries.
Gary, from Preston, was taken to hospital for treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Gary never recovered from injuries and died a week later on 19th March.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Jacob Hill, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with Gary’s murder.
Hill has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The second charge relates to a report a second man was assaulted during the same incident.
He will appear before Preston magistrates on Friday morning (26th September).
