Three burglars who targeted homes across Chorley have been jailed for a total of 10 years.
Andrew Smith, Cameron Smith and Connor Evans entered gardens and porch areas of properties across Coppull and Charnock Richard on Sunday 15th December.
Following enquiries by the South Residential Burglary team, the three men were arrested and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, were charged with aggravated burglary, attempted burglary with intent to steal, attempted theft of a motor vehicle and going equipped for theft.
After pleading guilty to the offences at an earlier court hearing, yesterday, at Preston Corwn Court, Andrew Smith, 50 of Derwent Road, Chorley was sentenced to 6 years in prison, Cameron Smith, 27 of Old Hall Street, Wigan, was sentenced to 3 years and Connor Evans, 19, of Scawfell Road, Chorley was sentenced to 12 months.
