Preston’s outdoor market traders will be back under the Victorian canopy from Tuesday.
The return follows a short relocation, with no outdoor trading on Monday while equipment is reinstated.
Council bosses say the move restores a key part of the city’s heritage, while Preston Market Hall remains open as normal throughout.
Councillor Martyn Rawlinson Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for resources at Preston City Council said: "I am happy to see our traders returning to their rightful place beneath the historic canopy. Preston Markets is a vital part of our city's heritage and community life, and we appreciate and thank the traders for their flexibility during the festive season. We look forward to welcoming shoppers back to enjoy the unique atmosphere and fantastic local produce that make our markets so special."
