A man was arrested after a car was driven through road closures put in place for the annual Lytham Club Day parade.
At just before midday on Saturday (June 27), police were called to a report that a car had driven at low speed through road closures on Albert Street which were in place for the local club day.
The car, a Honda HR-V, was brought to a stop and the driver was detained.
A man aged 40 from Warton was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs, dangerous driving and assault. He has since been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: ‘’Thankfully, no-one was injured in the incident and there is no ongoing or wider threat.
‘’We recognise that what happened may have caused concern and distress to some, in particular those who were there, but we wanted to set out the facts which will hopefully offer some reassurance.
‘’Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 0709 of Saturday, June 27th.’’
